Cynthia Fishman, M.D.
Dr. Fishman completed her residency at Children’s Hospital in DC and has been with our practice since 1995! She is very passionate about her work and enjoys helping our patients in any way she can. She is an active member in the medical community in participating in numerous committees and training seminars. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Montgomery County Medical Society. Dr. Fishman is a proud mom of two children, one daughter and one son. When she has a free moment, she also enjoys reading, going to the movies and having quality time with her husband.
Stuart Weich, M.D.
Dr. Weich has been practicing since 1992 and has been with our practice since 2000. What a wonderful addition to our staff! He is extremely dedicated to his patients and enjoys the challenges of being a pediatrician. He is the former Montgomery/ Prince George’s County representative for the Executive Committee of the state chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is a member of the Montgomery County Medical Society. Dr. Weich has a second passion besides medicine. He also enjoys music. He has already participated in many productions in the area as the musical director and playing an instrument. His three children also keep him a very active dad!
Liza Burns, M.D.

Dr. Burns joins us from residency at Children’s Hospital in DC! Dr. Burns is a devoted and busy parent of a daughter born in July 2005, a son born in June 2007 and another son born in September 2010! She is thrilled to work with children every day. Being a mom she can relate and understand the sleepless nights and anxiety that goes into raising a child!
Dr. Paul Porras, M.D.
Dr. Porras joined our group in June 2010 from another practice in the area. He is excited to meet our patients and still see some familiar faces from the community. Dr. Porras has a son who keeps him busy when not in the office and enjoys spending quality time with him. He also enjoys visiting his family in Venezuela, playing basketball and enjoying all the sites that the DC area has to offer.
Dr. Erica Rupar, M.D.

Dr. Rupar joined us right out of residency from Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC at the end of June 2010. She went into pediatrics because of her passion for helping children. She is the proud mom of a son born in 2010 and enjoys using her knowledge from being a pediatrician to being a first time mom! She is devoted to our patients and our practice and we look forward to having her in our practice.
Kathy McCue, FNP, IBCLC
Kathy McCue, FNP is joining our practice in October 2009. She has been a Family Nurse Practitioner since 2001. She was a registered nurse in the medical field for many years before she became a nurse practitioner. She also has a passion for newborns and helping new mothers with breastfeeding. She is a Certified Lactation Consultant and can rent equipment as well as assist patients with their breastfeeding needs. We are please to have her on our staff! Cathleen J. McGrath, M.D., F.A.A.P.
Board Certified in General and Developmental/Behavioral Pediatrics
EDUCATION:
Dr. Cathy McGrath graduated from the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo, Ohio in 1987. She completed a 3-year pediatric residency at the University of Maryland Medical Systems in Baltimore, and remained there from 1990-1993 for subspecialty training in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics. Prior to medical school, Dr. McGrath completed a Master’s Degree in Genetics.
BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE:
Upon completion of her fellowship in 1993, Dr. McGrath joined a private pediatric practice on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. In 2000, she joined Bayside Pediatrics in Annapolis and added a consulting practice in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics at HeartLight Healing Arts in Columbia MD, in 2003. Dr. McGrath was a part-time faculty member at the University of Maryland Medical Systems from 200-2006, seeing graduates of the neonatal intensive care unit and she evaluated the NICU graduates at the Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Rockville from 2000-2009.
Dr. McGrath is board certified in General Pediatrics and in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Although Dr. McGrath is especially interested in working with children (and their families) with Anxiety, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder and Cerebral Palsy, her experience as a general pediatrician has given her the opportunity to work with a wide array of developmental and behavioral issues impacting all families, including sleep disorders, temper tantrums, enuresis, encopresis and learning problems.
