We now have FLUMIST and Flu Shots available in our office. All flu vaccines this year will contain both H1N1 and seasonal flu. We do not have a date of arrival yet for the flu shots. We will be offering Flu vaccine to any patients, parents, grandparents, nannies, etc. However, we will only submit to insurance for our patients. If parents or non-patients would like to receive the flu vaccine from our office it will be an out of pocket expense. The fees are as follows:
FLUMIST $50
Flu shot $35
If you would like to schedule a FLUMIST appointment, please call the office to schedule a nurse visit. We will also be offering Flu Clinics every Monday starting September 20 through November 15 in the evening to those that would like to schedule for one of our clinics. We are scheduling for flu clinics and shot appointments starting today so please call early to get an appointment. We recommend that everyone over the age of 6 months old receive a flu vaccine this year.
You are eligible to receive FLUMIST if:
1. You are over the age of 2 and under the age of 50.
2. You are not allergic to eggs
3. You do not suffer from severe asthma or respiratory illnesses
4. You are not pregnant
5. You are not immuno-compromised
6. You do not have any serious chronic illness including heart conditions or diabetes.
You are eligible to receive the FLU shot if:
1. You are over 6 months old
2. You are not allergic to eggs
