Announces the association of

Cathleen J. McGrath, M.D.

Dr. McGrath will be joining us on December 1, 2011. She is board certified in general and behavioral/developmental pediatrics. Dr. McGrath will be working out of both office locations 4 days per week. She brings a tremendous passion for helping children and years of experience as a pediatrician since 1993. Please join us in welcoming her to the practice. We know you will love the care you receive from her! Please call our office starting in November to schedule an appointment with Dr. McGrath.

FLUMIST and Flu Shot now available

We now have FLUMIST and Flu Shots available in our office. All flu vaccines this year will contain both H1N1 and seasonal flu. We do not have a date of arrival yet for the flu shots. We will be offering Flu vaccine to any patients, parents, grandparents, nannies, etc. However, we will only submit to insurance for our patients. If parents or non-patients would like to receive the flu vaccine from our office it will be an out of pocket expense. The fees are as follows:

FLUMIST $50
Flu shot $35

If you would like to schedule a FLUMIST appointment, please call the office to schedule a nurse visit. We will also be offering Flu Clinics every Monday starting September 20 through November 15 in the evening to those that would like to schedule for one of our clinics. We are scheduling for flu clinics and shot appointments starting today so please call early to get an appointment. We recommend that everyone over the age of 6 months old receive a flu vaccine this year.

You are eligible to receive FLUMIST if:
1. You are over the age of 2 and under the age of 50.
2. You are not allergic to eggs
3. You do not suffer from severe asthma or respiratory illnesses
4. You are not pregnant
5. You are not immuno-compromised
6. You do not have any serious chronic illness including heart conditions or diabetes.

You are eligible to receive the FLU shot if:
1. You are over 6 months old
2. You are not allergic to eggs

If you are unsure of whether you qualify to receive either the Flu Shot or FLUMIST, please speak with a nurse who can help to determine which vaccine is better for you.

New Hours, New Doctors!

To better serve the needs of our patients, we will be extending our phone and office hours in May 2010 as follows:

Tuesday and Thursday both offices will open from 7am-7pm for appointments. Our phones on these days will be available from 7am-5pm.

Monday, Wednesday and Friday hours remain 8:30am-4:30pm. If you have any questions or would like to schedule appointments for our extended hours, please contact the office starting March 1. We look forward to better serving you!!

Kathleen McCue will be joining us in October 2009. She is a pediatric nurse practitioner and a lactation consultant! She has been in the medical field for more than 25 years! She is very excited to join our practice and meet our patients. Kathleen will be seeing patients at both locations. Please speak with a front desk receptionist to schedule an appointment with Kathleen. She is eager to meet all of you!!
